Mental health and awareness

The strongest people I know learned to hide it best.

You learned to act fine. You stopped saying anything. You started carrying everything quietly, and for a while that looked like strength. It held right up until it did not.

I am not a therapist and I will never pretend to be one. I am someone who lived through every chapter of this, the deployments, the badge, the body that finally said no, and learned the long way around that no one heals alone. The Wellness Muster is a circle for the people on that side of the line, still figuring out who they are after the uniform, the title, or the day to day finally stops asking.

What the Muster is

  • A weekly circle, not a class or a lecture
  • People who have lived it telling you the truth when you start hiding again
  • A wellness practice you can run between meetings: sleep that holds, a stress response that resets, an attention practice that survives a bad Monday
  • Room for spiritual resilience and the work of coming back to center, named only by the people who carry it

What it is not

  • Therapy, diagnosis, or treatment
  • A place that preaches at you. It does not, and never will
  • A one time course you finish and forget
  • Somewhere you have to have it figured out before you show up

The part nobody warns you about

You cannot secure someone who is not sleeping.

You cannot train someone who is drowning quietly.

And you cannot tell either of them their problems do not matter.

The fronts were never separate. Most of us just could not see the seams from the inside.

Writing on this

The Muster opens in small cohorts. If any of this sounded like you, put your name down and I will reach out when the next circle forms.
